Welcome to the KeyFront HomePage
(Verion 1.002)
(February 9, 1999)
The Current Version of KeyFront is1.3.8
A Few IMPORTANT Words From the Author:
Well well.. It seems that there are people who
use KeyFront... at least one.. That means I'll update it..
Well.. actually I may be remaking it in C++..
there are alot more things I can do with it in C++..
Plus.. I'll be able to track programs I open...
better.. Such as ohh SnesKey9x.. You see VB returns
a handle to a program when it runs one... it
just returns the wrong handle... and as some of you may have noticed
This causes KeyFront to not be able to close
the program.. You see KeyFront has to search down the SnesKey9x
window... and sometimes it gets confused... but
C++ returns the correct handle.. plus I'll be able to not have to front
end
SnesKey9x.. I don't have a problem.. with
SnesKey9x(not completly true) or Benji York(not completley true)... well
Benji.. as you may have noticed hasnt updated
SnesKey9x for a while.. but I did contact him... and told him about the
CPU usage problem.. and he said he should of
known and that he would correct it.. which tells me he is working on it
but he is probubly a busy person.. and just doesn't
have the time to update it all the time(just specualtin here)
Well I'm tired of waiting.. And It's always been
sort of a dream for me to write and Snes Adapter Software. that actually
reads the snes and does the key emulation...
the new program will be called GenieKeys(thats if I make it)
I wanted a name for it.. and Scooby-Doo was on
the toob.. and I heard Jenkys.. and well.. you do the math..
GenieKeys.. can currently read from the controller
and emulate the keys.. it works great!
And it works with DirectInput as well.. unlike
an unamed companies controller that I bought for $40
(I wanted the analog control on it).. I'm gunna
message them about it.. tell em how to do it right..
And maybee they can tell me how they do the DOS
program emulation..
GenieKeys doesn't work with Dos Progs.. so Im
lookin for a way to do this..
GenieKeys.. also is only configured for 1 hard
wired setting and is in like .000000Alpha version.
I mean it.. but It does have the begining and
all I have to do is Make an interface.. and
Key Storage settings.. and still FrontEnd SnesKey..
(Lots todo!! I mean it)
Im not being sarcastic!! No really I'm not!!
I hate it when this happens!!
The more I try and be serious the more it sounds
sarcastic!!
Well anyaways.. I'll work on it.. and update
you all on my progress..
For now... I wrote way more than I meant too..
and Thanx Dan.

As you may have noticed.. if you have visited
here before.. I have updated this page some.. but not much.. and let me
start by saying.. My E-Mail address is [email protected]
I'm telling you this because I haven't gotten
one E-Mail about KeyFront.. and if this continues on.. Then it's obvious
that I don't really need to waste my time making this page.. maybee not
even updateing KeyFront.. I'm not trying to be threatining.. but
If it doesn't look like anyone at all cares about KeyFront I'm not gunna
waste my time with it.. It's just pointless to do so.. Infact the
only reason I even thought about updating this page was that one of my
friends asked me for the newest version.. and I thought it'd be nice to
link to the Snes Pad Support Site. I know there isn't much more info..
but like I said I just came in here to link to the Snes Pad Support Site..
and getting no E-Mails doesn't exactly get me pumped obout the program..
Infact it makes me wonder if anyone is using it.. or if anyone has come
to this page.. as far as I know the only people who are seeing this are
my 2 friends who use this software..
